The Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI) and Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) jointly organized a training workshop on ‘Introduction to Sukuk and Structures Issues’ in Abu Dhabi, UAE during the period 6-10 January 2019.
The course covered the theoretical and operational aspects of sukuk, providing business cases mainly related to structures of sukuk with regard to the modes of trading contracts and modes of profit and loss-sharing contracts.
In a speech at the opening of the program, Mr. Gasan Bishara, Acting Director of the Institute of Economic Studies, highlighted the significance of the relationship between AMF and IRTI which provides a platform for the delivery of variety of training courses in Islamic banking and finance.
He also appreciated IRTI’s response to the training needs identified by AMF for the benefit of AMF member countries.
Instructors during the course were Dr. Mohammed Saleh Ayyash from IRTI, and Dr. Fatherhman Ali Mohammed Saleh from the Republic of Sudan.
Participants of the course, who came from various institutions in different Arab countries, expressed their satisfaction with the program.
